Organising A Hen Party

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Hen parties and bachelorette parties have been a very popular way to celebrate the single status of a woman before she gets married since the 1960’s. This night is always memorable and there are many strategies to make sure they are both memorable and successful.

There are many different ideas for throwing a hen night some of which include: a small gathering of her close friends, going to a nightclub or organising something at an outdoor location. If you are the bride’s closest friend then choosing which one to do should be no problem as you will know all her likes and dislikes, remembering to make sure the night is special so that she can remember it for the rest of her life.

Having a party that is theme based can be very successful. For example if the bride enjoys being pampered then organising a spa evening would make her night memorable and special. You could do this by arranging massages, nail treatments, a makeover and champagne.

Organising a theme based party is great fun as you can do a lot to entertain your bride. Other hen party ideas include going to the ballet or going to see her favourite comedian or going to see her favourite musical or just going to a local nightclub and dancing the night away.

Affordable Stag and Hen Events In A Recession

Sunday, August 30th, 2009

As the current economic crisis deepens, debt is piling up, unemployment is rising rapidly and household bills are skyrocketing, engaged couples are finding that they must make their wedding plans on a tight budget.

Recently it has become more and more common to have a stag-weekend instead of just a stag-night, or sometimes a stag-week. However given the recent clamp-down on spending, stag-weeks are being shortened to weekends, and stag-weekends have been shortened to nights. Stag events are receding in that respect.

Instead of weekends abroad, it is becoming increasingly popular to spend activity weekends in the UK. You can arrange multi activity days or weekends for far less than a foreign trip. Typically you can have a high quality days activities for 60 – 80 per person, which in many ways will be more memorable than a longer foreign break.

Another main advantage that UK stag parties have is that you will find more people are able to participate as the financial prospect of going abroad may put many people off, and so with more people taking part, the event is sure to be more memorable than it may have been otherwise.
