It’s traditional for the bride and groom to get presents on their wedding day, and it is expected that they give a little something back. Just like a kid’s birthday party where party favors are given out to everyone who attends, weddings guests should get a little favor bag to help remember your special day too.
Sometimes it can be hard to decide what your gift bag should be, usually because there are so many different types of people from all aspects of your life coming. You’ll have your family, your many groups of friends, possibly some coworkers, and of course your other half’s invitees. How do you find something that would appeal to everyone?
Before you get into the favors, start with the design of the bag. If you have a theme, the bag should match the theme. Otherwise a pretty white bag usually works out well. Any bag you have should have some way of tying it such as string or ribbon. Also try to find a type of bag that is durable so the favors don’t fall out. Cloth bags or totes are amazing gift bags because your guests can reuse them rather than throw them out. If you want to have separate favors for the men and women attending, have the bags be different colors such as the traditional pastel blue and pink.

The choice of a wedding venue is always the foremost priority for any wedding preparations. The venue, be it old fashioned or contemporary, plays a vital role in giving the wedding its distinct identity, and the selected venue finds its place in the marriage photographs.
It is necessary that the photographer is informed about how the couple wants the photographs to come out, as bridal photography forms an vital part of the marriage ceremony. An established bridal photographer must know how to capture the beauty of the bride as well as of the venue in his photos. A fine balance between the bridal photography and venue photography can only be achieved by an experienced photographer.
Each venue has its own characteristics and peculiarities that are different from other venues. Some people go for a traditional religious marriage in the church or other houses of worship, while others may want to go for something much more modern. Places of worship, with their splendid architecture, can form a very good thematic background for bridal photography.

The bridesmaid gifts must be one of the top priorities of your list. The wedding preparation is a tremendous job and entails the involvement of close female friends. There are several ways of conveying our thanks and showing appreciation to people who in one or the other have been there for you when we call for them. For the time and effort the bridesmaids have given, and all the support they have showered on you before and on the very big day, there is no reason that they should be forgotten.
As a token of that gratitude and appreciation, give them bridesmaid gifts that will fit their individual personality. Little things always mean a lot. Always remember that it is not the price of the gift that matters, but what is most important is the thought of the giver for the recipient. The value of a gift is never a question as long as it is given from the heart. It is the act of giving and the intention of the giver that counts not the price or the number of gifts that is given more weight.

The crowning jewel of any wedding reception is the wedding cake. Make it look and taste fabulous!
When you are planning your wedding cake, you will find many styles and flavors to choose from. Pick a flavor that will appeal to your guests, but the style is all your own.
Styling your cake is not so difficult, if you answer a few questions, first. Is this a destination wedding? What season will it be? What colors will you have in you wedding? Are you formal and traditional, or do you want something more whimsical? Answering any of these questions could give you guidance in choosing a style for your wedding cake.
Consider the look of your wedding gown. Is it lacey, floral, or more simple and streamlined? Would you like to see lacework and flowers on your cake, or would you prefer something more sleek and sophisticated?
Before going into the bakery to plan and taste the flavors, you should do some research. Look at pictures of designer cakes and select the ideas that you find best suited to your day. Take the pictures of your favorite cakes with you, when you go to the bakery. This will help your designer to create the cake of your dreams.

Wedding trends for this year are being highly influenced by the American economy . As a result of the uncertain financial climate, couples are opting to have smaller and less expensive weddings. There are many ways to cut down on wedding expenses that do not include cutting out the magical appeal and and white-wedding dream.
Vintage is in this year, which means you can save a tonne of money by wearing your mothers or grandmothers dress. It may have been a classic dress that can be re-used easily with some new jewelry, shoes or other accents and accessories. Having a Caribbean wedding is a fabulous way to save money and you can take that vintage dress and cut it to a length that is more suitable for the Caribbean climate, tie a bright coloured sash around the waste – and voila you have a new & improved “Caribbean” style wedding dress.
